Sizzix Bigz Dies are designed to cut fabric and felt. They cut all kinds of felt (Wool felt and polyester soft felt) perfectly.

Simple sandwich using bigz die (3-D flower die in the picture)–cutting pad, die, felt, cutting pad. Nothing else needed. Feed the sandwich through big shot machine and we’ll get the clean cut felt pieces.

Same method for other Bigz Dies such as 1″ circle and 1.5″ circle dies.

Other thinner dies like Sizzix Sizzlits dies and Die-Namics Dies, can cut Wool Felt Sheets only. Even with wool felt, the Die-Namics Dies needs the help of the metal adaptor plate.

It’s easy to use metal adaptor plate. Just put it on top of cutting pad.

Then layer die, wool felt, cutting pad to get the sandwich. Put sandwich on bigshot platform then feed through machine.

For large dies, just use masking tape to tape several metal adaptor plates together. This is the back view.

This is the top view. These plates will become marked and even dented but will still continue to be a great tool for easy cutting.

Let do some tests. First sandwich: cutting pad, metal adaptor plates, 4 sizzlitz dies, wool felt, cutting pad.

2nd sandwich: cutting pad, metal adaptor plates, 4 Die-Namics Dies, wool felt scrap pieces, cutting pad.

Put sandwich on bigshot platform and run through machine. Here is the result.

Last, cutting pad, metal adaptor plates, Die-Namics Die–Loopy Bloom, wool felt scrap pieces, cutting pad.
